Dave & Flo Rycerz of Bake-n-Brew Restaurant and Heritage Catering promote their food as "pretty okay," but, judging by the glowing reviews and empty plates, they might just be selling themselves short.

Visitors to their North 21st Street restaurant might see Dave's flamboyant chef's jackets and baseball caps and mistake him for a fry cook in a greasy spoon, but there is a lot more going behind those swinging doors than meets the eye.

A careful observer will notice that on the walls of their restaurant are two photographs from Dave's time at Walt Disney World in Florida.  No, he wasn't playing the part of Goofy in the Main St. Parade.  He was cooking in their kitchens.  (One of the photographs is of Dave and the head mouse himself, Mickey.)

2011 was Dave and Flo's first year catering for Java & Jazz, but they already had a long list of clients in and around Central Ohio who had sampled and appreciated their food.

We are very pleased to have them back for our 2012 event and are certain that our guests will find their food much more than "okay."
